Sarika Mene director of Budding Marathi (Aarti) has filed a criminal complaint against October movie director and also the writer. Shoojit Sircar and Juhi Chaturvedi both are called at Mumbai Vile Parle police station.

Sarika Mene the Budding Marathi directorial has alleged, October movie story is her film copy. She complains October movie director and writer have picked up plotting point as well as characters from Aarti 2017 production.

October movie released in the month April 2018 and last week this drama film hits the Indian theatres.

Sarika Mene said to PTI, When movie trailer was out and I watched it, I was feeling it could be the same copy. But my thinking was wondering, such a big Industry name wouldn’t copy my story. After the release of October film when I watched the whole film, it is 90% copied from my film.

She approaches Marathi Filmmakers and files her complaint. Further, she approaches to Screen Writer Association and also the producer of Motion Picture (IMPPA) India. She filed her complaint one week before but no response has come. More, she said I was waiting and remained quiet. She said she had solid evidence. Therefore she wants evidence October team side. She also said why the team is not giving the reply to her complaint. They have to reply immediately.

October film team reacted to her claims and also released the statement. They said in the statement, October movie has to face copyright allegations. Further, they said our team is creative and do own work. Therefore, they have full faith in their work. About Aarti film, October team said, they have not heard and watched this film.

Finally, in the statement, it is also written, the October film is sensitive and will look into the matter.
Shoojit the director of October movie replied to PTI, He has received the complaint letter. On the claim, he also replied, they will soon respond to this letter officially.
